    He played in both leagues in the late 50's - 1970.



    He was a 1B/OF. At 5'11", 190 I guess he would be stocky for that time. He's the father of Red Sox manager Terry Francona.

  • You may be thinking of Luis Tiant - pitched for Cleveland and Boston in 60's and 70s. He was short and somewhat stocky. Used to turn his back completely to home plate during his wind-up...


  • You're probably thinking of Tito Fuentes -- he's the only "Tito" in MLB in that time frame, but he was a second baseman.
