How do I bypass my university firewall to use limewire and second life? Best answer on the web

  • I am a student who lives on campus at a university whose network has a firewall that does not allow me to use programs such as limewire and second life. Is there anyway that I can bypass this? How do I do it?


  • You should complain to your residential network. You're paying to live in the dorms and there's more to college than studying. It's totally unfair that they're blocking Second Life. Everyone needs a little recreation and Second Life can connect you to educational institutions as well.

    Other than that... just get to know the right people... someone out there knows the proper ports to get around the problem.
