How can you limit computer access?
our son uses his machine too much and we would like to impose a 1-hour
daily limit. we use window xp professional edition.
can this be done?
we thought of assigning him a log-in password which would not be
shared with him. in other words, we have to log him in and then time
him. is there an easier way?hi
here's a website telling u how to restrict users from logging on at
odd time , like for instance you do not want u child to access
internet as soon as he gets home from school. heres the link
http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/userhours.phpcombine this with the net time solution given by the other guy
go to start --> control panel --> administrative tools --> local security policy
navigate to security settingslocal policiessecurity options
look for the value network security: force logoff when logon hours expire
change the setting to enabledHello,
Install some software to bar him. That is the simplest you can do. Try
something like Timewatcher - www.timewatcher.de
Peace!
Chiefwhat about setting a 1 hour max (that could be used multiple ways, for
example 5 minutes here and there)? specifying a 5-8 pm time range may
give my kid the full 3 hours. is there a way to log minute by minute
and then actually kick the user out when the time allotment is used
up?
